A Fortune Teller
A Fortune Teller is a prediction of the future told through memories witnessed by the bystander, a historian tasked with the job of finding out what happened to humanity. It is told through cut-ups from the Business, Arts and Leisure, Real Estate, Travel, Metropolitan, Sunday Styles and Sports Sunday sections of a year's worth of the 2017 Sunday NYTimes and arranged in an illuminated manuscript. Each chapter is comprised of cut-ups from four Sundays of a specific month with May and June being combined. The prologue was created from the Sundays in November and December of 2016. A Fortune Teller is a message to the children of manifest destiny that the time to change direction is now. It is a warning about how capitalism and the dark negative pull of our thoughts are about to destroy us again.
